It is a bundle application with a lot of popular programs inside, such as multimedia code and its supporting toot, email client, web browser, video software, audio software, and burning tools. But unfortunately a few months ago, Automatix paused due to Pioneer Linux acquisition.

However, on 26 July, the developer announced to public about the replacement of Automatix, namely Ultamatix. The system and performance of this product still based on the Automatix system as well as the appearance and functionality. But this product is designed to be able to run on Ubuntu Ultimate 1.8 Version, Ubuntu 8.04, Hardy Heron and several distributions derived from Debian Linux.

Launching of this version includes bug-fix and new features addition. SliTaz Cooking has the ability to boot from the Internet using gPXE projecy, similar with network boot loader. It also includes a multimedia player, MPlayer, Notecase (Note Manager Application) and support build-in the XFS file system in the Linux Kernel.

SliTaz is minimalist in size (28.6 MB ISO Image), extremely fast and light in performance. These distributions do not need any hard drive to run it. SliTaz can run and operated in a flash disk or as a LiveCD. Not only that, Linux SliTaz has been developed to run various applications with good display effect and also can be used as a web-server.
